"Anything Goes" Broadway Revival 2011
Words cannot BEGIN to express everything I'm feeling right now.  January 25th, 2011, I started a brand new journey.  It was the first day I began rehearsals for my First Broadway Show; The Broadway Revival of "Anything Goes".  We are literally rehearsing on the stage at Studio 54 here in New York City.  I remember first coming into this theatre years ago in 1998 to see Natasha Richardson and Alan Cumming in "Cabaret" and I, also, remember seeing "Sondheim on Sondheim" last year on this very stage. Now, here I am standing on it and rehearsing for my Broadway Debut.  I realize that you only get ONE, so enjoy EVERY MINUTE of it....and I AM!  As the cast sat around getting to know each other, learning about the sets, the costumes, the lights and Kathleen Marshall's Vision for this Revival, it was truly like a breath of fresh air and totally felt like an Original piece that we all are creating.  I'm SO grateful to be a part of this entire production. It's VERY obvious that this is going to be an AMAZING journey.  I smell TONY AWARDS (hello, goodmorning!!). ;)  I can only imagine how I'm going to feel when it's time to move into our own theatre (which is The Stephen Sondheim Theatre on W. 43rd (6th/B'way)).  This whole journey already feels like a Dream come True.  I'm just so happy and stoked that I have the chance to be a part of this great, historic and beautiful show.  I feel like this is for me and It's my time.  This is my journey and I'm so grateful to be able to share it with you and everyone who I care about.  I feel like when I'm on that stage, I'm bringing so many Dreams, Answered Prayers and Supportive friends with me.  It's not just MY Debut, but a Debut for every little boy or girl who was ever in the audience saying, "I want to do THAT for the rest of my life!

Looking out onto Roundabout's Studio 54 (from Stage)
NOW the work begins. Time for rehearsals like crazy, Previews (March 10th) and then the Opening (April 7th).  Either way, I'm going to live in every moment and enjoy the ride!  I hope you're able to come see it.  From what I saw already, you will DEFINITELY get your money's worth.

Stay Encouraged (...and LIVE, kids).

  1. You are so right - it is just like a debut for all of us. Thank you so much for "sharing" your moment!
I know I barely know you, but with many friends (and hometown) in common, I am enjoying every moment of your
Success, b/c I have always been one of those "little girls" who sat in the audience and imagined that it could be me.

Funny enough, I am sitting in the lobby of the Marriott Marquis staring thru the windows at Times Sqaure as I read your post
And as I type this comment. My husband has business in town, but I look forward to coming back in May or June to be witness
    To a dream come true.

Many blessings to you and the cast as you rehearse and prepare for your debut.
